Im sure you don't want to hear this, just all these guys are 100% right. You Exercise Not use swag kits with fans. It needs to exist mounted to a fan rated box. Y'all best bet is to hire a licensed electrician and accept this installed correctly.

Wait, so were yous planning on just hanging the fan by the lamp cord or chain? Swag kits are just fabricated for calorie-free fixtures, not fans

The image i have in my caput when that fan starts to spin🤣🤣🤣👍

You should probably rent someone professional to get this done. Not trying to exist a dick, merely information technology is for the best.

I've never ever heard of a swag kit for a fan.

The fan should be installed in a fan rated box that is continued to the rafters or upstairs floor joists not the drywall. Or if the ceiling is high apply an extended down rod. If your not going to accept 2 switches for the lite and fan connect the black and bluish wires together. If you're going to accept separate switches connect the blackness wire to the black wire and the blood-red wire to the blue wire. So 1 of the switches volition command the light and one volition command the fan. Hope this helps also check YouTube if you need more help or contact the manufacturer.

Don't listen to these guys, swag that fucker then mail service the video.

I would merely go a normal fan, that would work better for you. Considering you're trying to employ a swag kit, I highly recommend that route. Do things the proper fashion, otherwise you gamble called-for your home down.

Ceiling fan shouldn't be on swag kit. It should be weird to a box in the ceiling.

Lmfao where do you look to mount the fan at? Please just rip information technology into the drywall and plough it on. Make sure you record information technology for me bud.

No, if you cant effigy it out. Hire someone.

Why tf are you wiring a plug in cord into a ceiling fan? You lot trying to fight someone?
But seriously if you are going to be impaired like this you lot should at least know how to wire it without help from anyone but honestly it's just an all around bad idea unless you have some real reason for it

Tin't encounter how this was helpful to him.

How about, rent a contractor

DO NOT - I REPEAT - DO Not - Try TO SWAG A PADDLE FAN!
From a licensed electrician.
level 2
Since I am replacing a fan that was already on a swag kit (has been up for years), might I inquire why doing this seems to exist a horrible idea? Or is "paddle fan" a blazon of fan? I'chiliad replacing with a regular basic ceiling fan.
level 1
When y'all said swag kit.. did yous hateful similar a pendant blazon bargain? Or did you hateful a fan with i of those downwards rods that have a swivel/stabilizing ball on the end?
level 2
I have the proper down rod mounting hardware etc. The swag kit allows the rewiring of the fan to be plugged into an outlet instead of directly wiring through a ceiling fan box which I don't have. It's not ideal but it works.
level 1
Call an electrician. Y'all're gonna hurt yourself.
level one
Mount pancake fan rated box deeply to ceiling joist, mount bracket onto box with the supplied screws. Buy safe bushing or string connector and drill proper size pigsty into fan canopy... utilise swag chain kit to connect to box through bushing or connector and wire the white to the wire on the swag kit with the three ridges(this is how the neutral is identified on lamp cord) and wire the black and blue wires to the other conductor) verify the blades volition not hitting swag kit and plug in. Operate with remote if supplied or pull chains.
level 2
While this is non the proper way to do it, it wouldn't be too bad. Y'all at to the lowest degree accept a fan rated box and a bushing for the wire. Simply it wouldn't be grounded
